Sauk Valley residents can support local health care while enjoying meals at some of their favorite restaurants this October through a series of community fundraisers benefiting the OSF HealthCare Saint Katharine Medical Center Women's Imaging Center. Funds raised will help provide comfort items that enhance the patient experience and contribute to a relaxing, spa-like atmosphere for those receiving care.
Throughout October, four local restaurants will offer opportunities for community members to "dine with a cause" and support women's health services close to home.
At Angelo's III, $1 from every pizza sold during the month will be donated to the fundraising effort. Diners can also purchase a pink ribbon for $1 and write the name of someone who has battled or is currently battling breast cancer.
Culver's of Dixon will host a month-long round-up campaign, allowing guests to round their purchases up to the nearest dollar, with the difference benefiting the Women's Imaging Center.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe will participate with an all-day "Blending Up Funds" fundraiser on October 8, donating 20% of sales from food, bowls and smoothies purchased using the code TSCGIVES.
Chipotle will host a "Do Good with Chipotle" fundraising event from 4-8 p.m. on October 20, donating 25% of event sales to the cause. Guests can participate by dining in with the event flyer or ordering online for pickup using code 7QX3AY2.
