OSF HealthCare and Illinois Valley Community College – Continuing Education are offering a FREE, three-week program in American Sign Language (ASL) and Baby Sign, open to families, beginners, and Deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals. Participants will gain practical communication skills, including signs used in everyday life and healthcare settings.
No prior experience is needed. Attendees will learn foundational signs covering basic communication, emotions, and health-related terms, helping to foster connection, understanding, and accessibility for all. While attendance at every session is not mandatory, consistent participation is encouraged to strengthen learning outcomes.
