(BLOOMINGTON, Illinois | September 25, 2023) – OSF HealthCare is pleased to add a new specialty and provider to its growing list of services in Champaign County and surrounding communities.
The addition of Kinnera Are, DO, to OSF Medical Group – Pediatrics in Bloomington will ensure increased access for parents in need of pediatric care.
For Dr. Are, the decision to become a pediatrician was more about patient and family interaction.
“It’s very fulfilling to be a part of someone's life at such a critical age and have a chance to make a meaningful impact,” she stated. “The most important thing for me is the kids and parents feel comfortable. I take a very family-centric approach to care ensuring everyone is on board with the care plan.”
Dr. Are obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and completed medical school at Midwestern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Chicago. She completed her pediatric medical residency at Southern Illinois University.
