The Honor a Caregiver Award recognizes physicians and advanced practice providers who demonstrate excellence, compassion and extraordinary care.
Dr. Manier is a radiologist specializing in diagnosing and treating injuries and diseases using imaging procedures such as X-rays, computed tomography (CT, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine and ultrasound. Therefore, Dr. Manier does not see patients in a traditional manner through appointments in a clinical setting with much of his work taking place behind-the-scenes in our Imaging Department. However, Dr. Manier does conduct stereotactic core biopsies as well as needle localizations which utilize a wire to mark an identified abnormality for a surgeon, which utilize 3D mammography or ultrasound technology.
For patients who are undergoing these type of procedures it can be a nerve-wracking next step. A patient recognized Dr. Manier for his kind and calm demeanor, expressing gratitude for his clear explanation of each step of the process. The nominator shared “Dr. Manier relates positively with the staff and has a caring manner. He did an excellent job and I appreciate his time and genuine concern.”
