Congratulations to Jennifer Davenport, RN, the most recent recipient of the DAISY Award.
The DAISY Award recognizes a nurse who is nominated by a patient or their family for exemplary professional practice.
Jennifer is a registered nurse in the Medical Acute department, where most patients stay when hospitalized overnight or longer. She was nominated by a spouse whose husband passed away. The nomination shared “Jennifer provided end of life care for my spouse. Her kindness, caring and compassion gave us great comfort and helped us get through a very difficult time. She told us the process, what to expect and answered all of our question. My spouse was in no pain, very comfortable and died peacefully. For that I am ever so thankful and grateful.”
