Congratulations to Joan Flath, the most recent Sunflower Award winner.
The Sunflower Award recognizes non-nursing staff for being outstanding role models among a community of caregivers.
Joan, was nominated for her kindness and compassion. The nomination form said “She has been observed many times going above and beyond to help patients and their families. I overheard her offering to carry someone’s lunch tray because the person had a cane and another Mission Partner observed her making toast and getting silverware for someone in a wheelchair and needed assistance.”
Joan’s actions live the OSF Mission of serving with the greatest care and love.
