As a partner in the international DAISY Award program that recognizes nurses' extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care, OSF HealthCare St. Mary Medical Center recently awarded its DAISY Award to Joanne Stewart, RN. Joanne was awarded the DAISY Award for her companionate care. Her nominee wrote, " I feel blessed to have received the care that I did and Joanne was so special. When I think of Joanne, I smile. She saw me as a person. She would peek in to say hi or to stay a little longer for a chat. She was always there to make my time easier. It was evident her care was genuine. I know if I had met Joanne outside of OSF St. Mary, we could be friends. I wish her all the best in her nursing career and her life. OSF St. Mary is lucky to have her."
The Sunflower Award was recently awarded to Skyler Butler, Emergency Department Technician. Skyler was nominated for her compatient care.
