OSF HealthCare is pleased to add a new surgeon to its staff to better serve the community of Galesburg and surrounding areas.
The addition of Dr. Andrei Froehling in August, will ensure increased access for patients in need of surgery at OSF Galesburg Clinic,3315 N. Seminary St., Galesburg.
Dr. Froehling received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria. He attended his general surgery residency from the University of Illinois Chicago.
Being able to help people is what drew Dr. Froehling to a career in medicine. He also loves doing that in a smaller community like Galesburg.
"It's wonderful that these services are provided here," he said. "It means people don't have to travel far for care."

Dr. Froehling experienced surgery as a third-year medical student and was hooked.
