Mammograms are the single most effective tool in the early detection of breast cancer and are proven to save lives. When detected early, doctors can begin treatment before symptoms begin, resulting in a better outcome.
The Women’s Health Center at OSF Healthcare Little Company of Mary Medical Center will host a Mammograms After Dark event on Thursday, October 6 from 4:30 – 8 p.m. This event will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn about the importance of screening mammography in a small group setting.
Focusing on awareness, prevention and follow-up, a presentation and Q & A session will be led by nurses from the Breast Health Center. Attendees can register for mammogram appointments that will be available during this event. Light refreshments will be served. Seating is limited, advance registration is requested.
