Congratulations to Stephen Smith, MD, the recipient of our most recent Honor a Caregiver award.
The Honor a Caregiver Award recognizes physicians and advanced practice providers who demonstrate excellence, compassion and extraordinary care.
Dr. Smith is a family physician and sees patients in Suite 203 of the OSF Medical Group in Escanaba. He was nominated by a support person of one of his patients who was assisting the patient and spouse with a video visit. While video visits can be very helpful and convenient, they can take some additional assistance and getting used to. The nominator shared “I had the privilege assisting the couple in navigating the teleconference and admired Dr. Smith’s kindness and compassion as well as his patience.”
