OSF HealthCare Little Company of Mary Medical Center is pleased to announce that we have completed recent renovations to the Emergency Department. This marks the second phase of a four-phased transformation project at the Evergreen Park Hospital. In this phase a new entrance for walk-in patients was created as well as a new intake area, waiting room and registration desk. We also will have a CT scanner that will allow patients to the ability to be scanned in the ED.
The Emergency Department renovation project began in August 2019. Phase 1 was completed on March 26, 2020. The renovated emergency department will improve efficiency and patient throughput, while environmentally-friendly materials will enhance patient privacy and safety and reduce noise.
Phases 3 and Phase 4 are scheduled to begin March 2021 and the project is anticipated to be complete by end of 2021. In these phases we will see additional patient rooms – one for isolation purposes, an ANTE room and a negative pressure room.
