The next meeting of OSF HealthCare Saint James – John W. Albrecht Medical Center’s Diabetes Support Group will be Tuesday, August 4, 2020 and we welcome all who are facing the challenges of diabetes. The program will be “Fact or Fiction … Clearing up the Confusion on Exercise” by Matt Janus, Exercise Physiologist at OSF HealthCare Saint James.
Exercise helps build strength, improve cardiovascular fitness, and elevate overall health and well-being. But what should you do to get the best results? With fads, trends and conflicting information out there, it can be hard to know where to start. Matt will set the record straight and share what really works, explaining the types of exercises that need to be a priority on our list, how much of each we need, and how to get started on a program you can feel good about.
This program will be held in the main floor conference room where there is adequate room for physical distancing. A brief health screening will be completed for each guest upon arrival and masks will be required.
Pre-registration is not necessary for this program.
