(July 20, 2020 | Pontiac, IL) – Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center (MVRBC) will hold a blood drive from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Friday, August 14 in the conference rooms at OSF HealthCare Saint James – John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac. Volunteer blood donors are invited to support the hospital’s blood supply and schedule an appointment to give blood by calling (815) 842-4935 or online at www.bloodcenter.org. Use code 71095.
Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age (16 with a parental permission form available at www.bloodcenter.org) and weigh more than 110 pounds. A photo I.D. is required to donate. For questions about eligibility, please call the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center at (800) 747-5401. Donors who last gave blood on or before April 17, 2020 are eligible to give at this drive.
All donors are required to make an appointment. Per CDC guidelines, all donors will be required to wear a face covering.
MVRBC is the exclusive provider of blood and blood components to 95 hospitals in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and Wisconsin, including 11 of 13 OSF HealthCare facilities.
