OSF HealthCare Holy Family Medical Center has named Jackie Kernan, RN, MSN, as its next president. Kernan will also continue to serve as president of OSF HealthCare Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee.
Kernan will be responsible for directing all internal operations while ensuring access to affordable, high quality health care for communities served by OSF Holy Family and OSF Saint Luke.
Western Region CEO Roxanna Crosser said, “We are excited and confident in Jackie and her ability to advance the great work that Patty Luker [retiring president of OSF Holy Family] has done in the Monmouth area and across our Ministry.” Crosser added, “Jackie will be able to employ best practices and offer leadership for issues affecting these two critical access hospitals.”
“OSF Holy Family Medical Center and OSF Saint Luke Medical Center remain financially and clinically strong. Each has received national recognition and I am committed to continuing that tradition of quality, patient-centered care,” said Jackie Kernan, who will officially begin in her new role on July 15, sharing time across the two hospitals.
Kernan added, “We are committed to the communities we serve. I’m excited in this expanded role to be working with OSF Innovation to create the future model for rural health care that enhances wellness and better serves patients by leveraging new technology and expanded collaboration with community partners.”
Kernan has served as president of OSF Saint Luke Medical Center since January 2018. She holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of St. Francis and a Master of Science in nursing management leadership from Saint Francis College of Nursing.
